Meet Lily
Lily is a young carer who helps look after her younger brother. Her brother, James, has a rare form of epilepsy which can make things a bit tough at home sometimes. Lily has been part of Surrey Young Carers for a while and has really enjoyed the support and events which have helped her in her caring role.
Surrey young carers have helped to support me. I get to enjoy lots of fun days out with them and I have made lots of friend with other young carers who understand how i feel.
Running for carers
Although being a young carer can be a challenge, Lily is ready to take on something new… This weekend she will be running the 2km kids race in the Surrey Half Marathon. Lily is raising money from her race for Surrey Young Carers because she wants other young carers to benefit from the support they provide.
