Young Carers Support Coordinator

18 hours per week, 3 days per week, daytime hours with occasional planned evening and weekend work

In this varied and rewarding role you will engage, motivate and advocate for young carers within Surrey. Your working hours will be spent engaging with young carers within youth settings or schools or working from home, undertaking a planned program of one-to-one engagement and events.

Carers Support Adviser - Mental Health

18 hours or 36 hours, on a 12-month fixed term basis

The postholders will provide information, advice, signposting and advocacy to unpaid adult carers who are caring for a relative or friend with a mental illness. They will work closely alongside NHS colleagues from the HOMEFirst, which is a new service run by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Volunteer - GP Support

The need to ensure that carers are identified and supported in their local GP surgery is fundamental to their health and wellbeing. Therefore, it is very important that there is up-to-date information about our services in GP surgeries. We are particularly looking for volunteers who can visit GPS surgeries in the Elmbridge, Esher, Thames Ditton, Walton-On-Thames, Woking and West Byfleet areas. The volunteer role will support Action for Carers by checking and updating the information folders located in GPs surgeries.
