Moving and Handling: Looking after yourself and your back

When you’re a carer for someone with mobility issues, it’s important to know how to help them correctly – without hurting them, or yourself.

Advisors from our Moving and Handling team will talk about how to move someone safely, chatting through techniques and simple equipment you might use.

They will also cover how look after your back even if you’re NOT physically supporting your cared-for, but tips we all need to think about like posture, strength and how to best move about yourself.

You can watch the techniques being done, and will have the opportunity to ask questions of our friendly and expert Advisors.
