An introduction to NHS Continuing Healthcare
Some people are entitled to a package of on-going care that is arranged and funded solely by the NHS, but getting access can be a complex process. Join us to find out who might be eligible and how it works.
An introduction to NHS Continuing Healthcare
NHS Continuing Heathcare (CHC), is a package of on-going care arranged and funded solely by the NHS, rather than Social Services. It’s dependent on the needs of the person; for some people this will be in their own home and for others in a care home. Applying, and demonstrating the ‘primary health need’ of the person you are caring for can be a complex process, so join us and Millie Maseya, CHC Clinical Manager, NHS Continuing Healthcare – Surrey, to find out who might be eligible and how it works.
We’ll look at CHC and at NHS-Funded Nursing Care (FNC), which can apply in care homes. This will be your chance to ask questions. To cover as much as possible, it would be useful to let us have your questions in advance.
