We recognise that there are a large number of people in Surrey living with ASD and that this can present specific challenges to those looking after them.

Upcoming events to support carers looking after those affected by Autism will be posted below.

Wednesday 26th June 2019 - Autism Forum: Sensory Issues

A talk by Francis Bland senior OT from Mustard Seed Autism Trust

  • What is sensory processing?
  • What does a sensory processing disorder look like in ASD, ADHD or Coordination disorder?
  • Identifying the sensory behaviours and their causes helping parents to link it to their children.
  • "Is it Sensory or is it behaviour"?

Tea and coffee are provided.

Tuesday 9th July - Autism Event: Puberty & Relationships

Mark Brown, specialist from Special Help for Special Needs, will give his hugely popular talk on Puberty and Relationships. This will be suitable for parents and carers of children approaching and transitioning through puberty, as well as those with young adults or wanting to know more about this topic.
