Join us for this session to help you move the person you care for effectively - keeping you safe (especially your back) as well as the person you care for.

Demonstrating basic moving and handling techniques

Learn how to move the person you care for safely at our demonstration of  basic techniques session.

Our expert Moving and Handling Advisors will demonstrate how to move the person you care for effectively – helping you to avoid common carer injuries while you safely move the person you care for.

They will demonstrate some basic bed and chair manoeuvres, explain other key straightforward techniques and demonstrate simple equipment which will make the tasks easier.

This is a fun, friendly and relaxed session – which should really make a difference to how you feel.  You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions too.

Blue Bird

We use a special venue for this event, kindly offered by Blue Bird Care. It is a proper training room, including a bed, so we will be able to demonstrate more manoeuvres on helping the person you care for move about safely and efficiently.

We’ll have refreshments available.

There is ample free parking directly outside the venue (it has its own dedicated car park). Access is level from the car park.

It is also on public transport routes (next door to the Lion Retail Park). Full address: Bluebird Care, Lion House, Oriental Road, Woking GU22 8AR.
