Rob Young
I am the Head of Operations at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and am very proud to be a Trustee for Action for Carers. Having spent several years as an informal carer up to 2020, I’m passionate in my support for assisting ACS in its aim of providing invaluable support for carers across Surrey.
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in Somerset before moving into canine hydrotherapy and then studying marketing at a veterinary pharmaceutical company, working within the sales and marketing departments. I joined Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in 2011 as an Operations Manager and now oversee the care of thousands of animals a year across the three centres and dedicated foster homes, whilst also leading on the customer service provision for the thousands more people requiring Battersea’s support each year.
The practical and emotional support given by carers really is very special, and I would like to help ensure that they are cared for themselves by the amazing work that ACS is able to do with such a talented team.
