Young carers Evie and George recognised with Award

Congratulations young carers Evie and George

We’re particularly proud of two of our young carers, siblings Evie and George Cooper, who have been recognised by Surrey Police’s Elmbridge Young Persons of Honour Awards.

The Awards recognise achievement by young people in Elmbridge, and Evie and George  both received an award in the Young Carers category, recognising the amazing support they give their sister, Chloe.

Evie and George attend Three Rivers Academy, Hersham and were nominated by their SENCO Ms Aegean Leech, who made a lovely speech about them.

We also support them, through our Young Carers Service, and ACS staff member Emma Cleverdon also spoke a few words about them, and their participation with Surrey Young Carers – they are great advocates too!

It was a lovely evening celebrating some fantastic young people from Elmbridge. Well done all, but especially Evie and George.
