Expanded offer to Surrey Schools
Are you a Surrey teacher?
You will have at least two young carers in each class – young people who are often struggling with a whole host of additional responsibilities and concerns.
As you return to school this autumn, you may be meeting more young carers.
We can help you identify and support this vulnerable group, and have recently expanded our offer of FREE training and events for Surrey schools staff.
Our new offer includes:
- Young Carer Awareness Training (an all-round introduction to young carers, their needs and best practice in school support) – both an hour-long and bitesize sessions are available
- Young Carer Network Meetings (best practice networking events)
- Surrey Schools Angel Award Focus Meetings (showcasing our Angel Award accreditation scheme and supporting schools working to achieve it)
