Keeping active in Surrey
Active Surrey’s ‘Active Ageing’ campaign is encouraging Surrey residents aged 65+ to stay active in later life. Look out for #NeverTooOld posters, showing how poorer health is not inevitable as we age, and exercise can take many forms.
Otago strength and balance classes are 45-60 minutes of gentle exercises, designed to reduce the risk of falls. You’ll find them all over Surrey. The classes are relaxed and involve a set of exercises – both standing and sitting – to build leg strength. These friendly sessions can also help to you to regain your confidence and independence.
