Current Projects Needing Support
Young Carers in Education
One in three young carers struggles to balance caring with education, which can affect their chances at school, university, or work (Carers Trust 2023). With your support, we can work with schools and colleges, to help young carers feel supported, stay in education, and reach their full potential.
Respite Breaks for Adult and Young Carers
63% of carers say their mental health has been negatively affected by caring and 53% say their physical health has suffered. With your support, we can provide much-needed breaks and activities, giving Surrey carers time to relax, recharge, and look after their own health.
Surrey Carers Outreach Bus
Many carers can’t access support due to transport issues, rural isolation, or lack of awareness. If funded, our mobile hub would bring advice and support directly to communities, making it easier for carers to get help, wherever they live.
Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund Project
Many carers are excluded from support because of work, transport, or caring responsibilities. We hope to develop digital tools to reach carers who can’t access help during office hours, so no one is left out, and every carer can get support when they need it.
