We have joined other charities across the UK in signing an open letter calling for greater recognition and support for unpaid carers. Led by Carers UK, the campaign brings together organisations calling for meaningful change.
Surrey County Council have made some changes to carer services around emergency care, and end of life help - services previously delivered by charity Crossroads Care.
On 22 March 2026, 19 amazing runners took on the Surrey Half Marathon in support of unpaid carers, raising over £5,600. With a brilliant atmosphere, strong community support and plenty of cheer along the route, the day was a huge success. Donations are still open, helping us continue providing vital support for carers across Surrey.

Marking Young Carers Action Day 2026, Wednesday 11th March, Action for Carers, alongside partners is holding a free online seminar to improve the support of the county's 15,000+ young carers, ensuring they face a fair future.
