Grow Food, Breathe, and Take Time for You: special Carers Week event for young adult carers (up to 25)
Hampton Court Palace have teamed up with the Grow Urban Festival 2026 to offer you a chance to take a break in a historic Georgian kitchen garden with a garden tour designed especially to celebrate Carers Week 2026.
Discover how Georgian gardeners grew fresh food and how we still grow it today as we meander through the garden with ‘Keeper of the Kitchen Garden’, expert grower Hilary Theaker and Community Gardener Beth Rochford.
This session offers time outdoors, space to slow down, and practical ideas you can take away, whether you’re growing for yourself or supporting someone else to get involved.

Schedule on the day: Wednesday 10th June
Emma from Action for Carers Young Adult Team will be there to welcome you, and in attendance throughout the event.
- 10.30–11am Arrive and register at the Clore Learning Centre, Hampton Court Palace
- 11.00–11.30am Community gardener Beth will lead you to the Kitchen Garden to meet Hilary and begin the tour
- 11.30am Tour ends but feel free to stay and enjoy the Palace for the remainder of your day
