Do you enjoy working with children and young people?
Are you confident supporting group activities and helping young people feel included and valued?
Would you like a flexible role making a real difference to young carers across Surrey?

We are recruiting Sessional Workers who will primarily work with the Young Carers Engage & Connect Team, who provide free, needs-led support to young carers aged 5 to 16, giving them time out from their caring responsibilities through clubs, events, and activities.

We are looking for enthusiastic Sessional Workers to support our Event Leads in planning, delivering, and facilitating these activities. You’ll help lead games, icebreakers and club sessions, contribute ideas during planning, and take part in evaluating each session so we can keep improving what we offer young carers.

Sessions take place across the week – including evenings, weekends, and school holidays – so flexibility is an essential part of the role. This is a zero-hours, “as required” position: you are offered work as and when sessions need additional support, and you choose the assignments you take on. We ask that you make yourself reasonably available and aim to attend a minimum number of events per term, subject to your availability and our operational needs.
