Community Highlights
We’re so grateful to the many Surrey groups who’ve supported us:
Dorking & Mole Valley Athletics Club
Huge thank you to Dorking & Mole Valley Athletics Club for choosing Action for Carers Surrey as one of their supported charities at the 2025 Dorking 10s. We received a percentage of all funds raised on the day, helping us continue supporting Surrey’s unpaid carers. Read more about the day here.
Windlesham Golf Club
In 2025, Windlesham Golf Club selected Action for Carers Surrey as their charity of the year, organising a wide range of fundraising activities across the season. These included golf tournaments, social events, raffles, auctions and a dawn to dusk golf relay.
Together, these efforts raised over £15,000 to support young carers in Surrey.
Guildford Homemakers
In 2025, the Guildford Homemakers have shown wonderful support for Action for Carers Surrey by hosting a series of coffee days and garden parties.
These informal gatherings have helped raise awareness of the challenges faced by unpaid carers and encouraged community support for our work. As part of their activities, ACS staff were invited to give a talk, sharing insights into the services we offer and how carers in the local area can benefit.
Farnham Rotary

Farnham Rotary have supported us through with fundraising and a great deal of local publicity, including a fabulous ‘Great Gatsby’ Roaring 20s charity dinner, supporting ACS’s Surrey Young Carers and Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity. The sun shone, the clothes were wonderful, and everyone was in a party mood – and very generous.
