Help support Surrey's unpaid carers! Take part in an event, organise your own fundraiser, or support us through your group, company, or trust.

Action for Carers Surrey supports over 20,000 unpaid carers across Surrey, including 2,600 young carers aged 5 to 17.

We currently receive funding from Surrey County Council, which covers our core costs such as staff and office premises. However, we are actively seeking additional funding to expand our services and ensure sustainability.

Our supporters include many individuals, trusts and foundations, and a wide range of community groups and corporate partners.

Help support our work so that we can reach even more carers. Your involvement helps us continue our vital work and make a significant impact in the lives of unpaid carers.

I am so grateful for all the help and support I received while on my mother’s dementia journey; I do not think we would have got through things without your help

Supporting Surrey’s Carers

For example, our dedicated Surrey Young Carers team provides specialised support to 2,600 young carers, offering workshops, forums, and time-out activities tailored to their needs.

Thanks to generous supporters, young carers can take a much-needed break from their responsibilities and meet with others who are in the situation. Your support helps give them the chance to have fun, relax, and simply enjoy being kids.

I will never be able to express my gratitude at SYC for stepping in and scooping up our children, when I couldn’t.
