About the role
Assisting the IT manager, the role will involve a mixture of tasks from trouble shooting data/technical issues; medium sized analysis and developments around the systems; training; liaison between the outsourced network providers and general IT questions and solutions. In this varied role you will be involved in a range of tasks from the complex to low level assistance to the user base.
As well as helping the IT manager to drive change and deliver efficiencies, the main part of the role will be in supporting the business whether that be in how to use the carer database; email issues; phone or laptop problems and office tools.
We are able to offer some flexibility in terms of hours and can offer this role on a term time only working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday or on a full-year basis working 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
Our systems and solutions are not complex and as such, this role is not a highly technical role but one where you must bring along technical experience and know-how, in order to build a rapport and trust with the business teams.
You must have demonstrable experience of handling a variety of technical enquiries in a busy environment and experience and understanding of IT and mobile phone equipment and hardware. Furthermore, you will have experience of code writing in VBA at a minimum and a mid level knowledge of SQL coding. You will also have proven experience in collating, analysing and reporting on data.
This role will be predominantly office-based with some opportunities for home working as you progress in the role.
