This is your opportunity to make a difference by supporting, advising and advocating for adult Carers in South West Surrey. Your base will be your home and you will work within the community, whilst attending regular team meetings.
Managing a caseload of carers, you will encourage carers to identify their own needs and facilitate initiatives for carers including running carers networks and support groups. This role involves visiting carers in their own home and travel across the geographical location that is allocated to you within Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath. You must have a current driving licence and use of a road worthy vehicle.
You must have had experience of working with and advocating for adults and families and have an understanding of carers rights. You will have knowledge of legislation relevant to carers and disabled people. Finally, you will be a confident communicator and be able to run training and information sessions to groups.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
