Healthwatch and Frimley Health and Care ICS Long Term Plan Survey 2019

In January 2019 the NHS Long Term Plan was published. As environments and society develop, the way that we all look after our health and wellbeing has to change so that in 10 years' time we have a service which can face the challenges of the future.

Your local Healthwatch services are supporting Frimley Health and Care ICS to find out what is important to you and your family so that your views can help to shape local plans so that you receive the right care at the right time in the right place.

Making Surrey safer

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service aims to keep residents safe from fires and other risks. This includes focusing on preventing emergencies and ensuring crews and resources are in the right place at the right time. So they are now consulting on proposals to:

  1. Spend more time on community and business safety, helping to prevent emergencies occurring in the first place.
  2. Maintain the number of fire stations in Surrey but change how some of them are crewed. Changes are proposed in the Banstead, Camberley, Egham, Fordbridge, Guildford, Haselmere, Painshill, Walton and Woking areas.
  3. Recover costs from some non-emergencies to re-invest in the service.

Rethinking Transport in Surrey

Surrey County Council know that transport impacts everybody’s lives and the ability to connect with services, friends and family and recognises that there are some considerable challenges with Surrey’s existing transport network.

As an exploratory exercise they are very keen to hear from patient passengers and will be holding a focus group on Thurs 20th June between 3-5pm to hear the experiences of Surrey’s patient passengers.

The session will be held in NHS Guildford and Waverley CCG in the boardroom. All participants will be reimbursed for their travel expenses and refreshments will be provided.

If you are unable to attend the session you can also share your view via an online questionnaire
