Join us to learn how listening to music can benefit your physical and mental health and how to create personal playlists for yourself and those you care for.

Using music to help your wellbeing

Research has shown that listening to music can have great benefits to both our physical and mental health including reducing anxiety, blood pressure, and pain and improving sleep quality, memory, mental health and promoting feelings of wellbeing.

  • If you want to firm up your body, you head to the gym.
  • If you want to exercise your brain, neurologists recommend that you listen to music.
  • There are very few things that stimulate the brain the way music does.
Music provides a total brain workout.

Our workshop, includes a short talk on the benefits of music, followed by practical help on how to create a personal playlist for yourself and those you care for.

Music is especially beneficial to those with conditions such as Parkinson’s, autism and dementia.

“Thank you so much for this workshop it was really fascinating, I’ve always loved my music and now understanding why!”
