Carer’s rights and social care with Professor Luke Clements

If you’re caring for an adult, this is a chance for an expert insight into social care and carers assessments for parent carers.

We’re focusing on carers’ rights this week, so we’re delighted to have Luke Clements, a widely known and respected campaigner for carers rights, with us again. Luke Clements is Cerebra Professor of Law and Social Justice at the School of Law, Leeds University, a solicitor himself, and author of many books on social care including ‘Carer’s Rights and the Care Act’.

Luke will focus on Social Care and other related issues.

Introduction by Jamie Gault, CEO of Action for Carers.

Themes include:

Assessing the needs of ‘adults in need’ and adult carers

Determining eligibility: adults ‘in need’ and adult carers
